Notable Projects
LTA Consultant for PET Recycling deals in Vietnam
A due diligence assessment was carried out on a plastics recycling facility in Southeast Asia to evaluate the feasibility of expanding operations with an additional processing line. The review covered existing recycling processes, feedstock supply chains, and technology performance, alongside risks and opportunities linked to increasing demand for recycled PET. The study also considered market dynamics, supplier capacity, and the project’s overall bankability. As Project Manager, Bekki oversaw the assessment, coordinated inputs across technical and market reviews, and ensured clear recommendations were delivered to support decision-making.
Co-Products Carbon Footprint Assessment
Bekki contributed to a detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of an advanced pyrolysis process for recycling waste tyres. The project involved modelling key sub-processes—including feedstock preparation, pyrolysis, finishing, and steam generation—to evaluate the environmental impacts in terms of carbon footprint. Using industry-standard LCA software and databases in line with ISO requirements, the study assessed the production of recovered carbon black and associated co-products, while comparing renewable energy use against grid electricity. Particular focus was given to optimising feedstock preparation and granulation methods to improve process efficiency, reduce emissions, and maximise material recovery.
