Notable Projects
Promoting Action on Plastic Pollution
Joana and her team conducted comprehensive research to analyse how digital apps have been used for plastic collection and waste disposal systems across Asia and the Pacific, with a specific focus on Vietnam. From this study arose several ADB policy recommendations and financing options that could potentially boost participation in these technological advancements by small businesses.
Environmental Health & Safety Due Diligence
After providing a comprehensive assessment, Joana assisted Ly and her team in accomplishing two crucial objectives: (i) accurately evaluating the Binh Duong plant’s adherence to Vietnam EHS legislation and (ii) researching how further expansion may affect local compliance requirements as well as nearby residential properties.
Environmental Management & Improvement
As the project manager for ICE NYSE, Joana successfully spearheaded a project that updated five UK sites with cutting-edge systems to enhance environmental, energy and quality management. To cement this ambition into reality, ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO9001 certifications were obtained. In addition to the core project activities, Joana also carried out life-cycle environmental assessments and energy review plans as well as establishing performance indicators that enabled the client to ensure compliance with all emission control regulations.
