Wiser offers early bird rate on land spreading deployment applications

Wiser is offering an early bird discount to encourage deployment applications for land spreading this year prior to the spring rush.

Every year, there is a rush to submit deployment applications during the spring months to enable spreading to commence at the earliest opportunity following the end of the closed period. Avoid this hassle and backlog of applications by preparing for and submitting your deployment application now!

AgricultureWiser Environment has experience in both the compilation of supporting documentation into application packs for submission to the Environment Agency, and undertaking the required sampling and analysis of receiving soils and waste streams. We work with a highly regarded BASIS Fertiliser Advisers Certification and Training Scheme (FACTS) agronomist who has many years’ experience in the industry providing technical information to FACTS advisors and in the development of the DEFRA PLANET fertiliser recommendation system software.

If you require assistance with your deployment application or any of the supporting documentation required then please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone on 01480 462232 or email at info@wisergroup.co.uk, for an informal discussion of your needs. Please mention this article when contacting Wiser to receive a preferential ‘early bird’ rate, available until 31st December 2014.

The EA has updated its odour management plan guidance

The EA has updated its odour management plan guidance. Overall, the guidance outlines how operators must control and monitor emissions from their activities that may cause pollution.

Changes include clarifications regarding when the EA will want an odour management plan. They may request one during pre-application, determination, variation or at any point during the lifetime of your permit.

Also, Materials recycling and handle odorous inputs or reject streams and Intensive Farming have been added to the list of Activities that require an odour management plan.
