Wiser ISO and OHSAS certifications expanded and renewed

Wiser Group’s management system certifications have been renewed until 2022 and expanded to incorporate Wiser Training and its WAMITAB approved assessment centre.

Extensive audit of integrated management system

Wiser Environment's ISOQAR management systems logoExtensively audited by ISOQAR, the group retains ISO 14001 (environmental management system), ISO 9001 (quality management system) and OHSAS 18001 (occupational health & safety management systems) for the next three years.

Over the four-day audit, ISOQAR reviewed and audited procedures, processes and records of the Wiser Group’s integrated management system and interviewed staff. The UKAS accredited ISO certification body was able to confirm that the group is working in line with procedures, is legally compliant and has identified the environmental and health & safety impacts of its operations.

Russell Hirst, Managing Director, Wiser Group says: “Quality of service, environmental impact and the welfare of our employees are the most significant issues in ensuring our businesses are professional and deliver the needs of our customers. We are very pleased to have these principles recognised through our ISO certification renewal.”

WAMITAB training centre gains ISO certification

Following the audit, the activities of Wiser’s environmental training arm, Wiser Training, are incorporated within the scope of the ISO certifications for the first time. Wiser Training provides a wide range of assessment and environmental training solutions to individuals and businesses across the UK and as an approved assessment centre for WAMITAB, provides assessment of WAMITAB qualifications. The audit assessed Wiser Training’s quality systems and procedures for managing candidates and the administration of the WAMITAB centre.

Russell continues: “We are particularly delighted to have Wiser Training’s activities brought under the scope of the certificates. I believe we are the first WAMITAB centre to hold these three standards, demonstrating our commitment to delivering a high-quality service to all our candidates and the operators for whom they work”.

The Wiser Group has held certifications for ISO 14001, 9001 and OHSAS 18001 for Wiser Environment and Wiser Recycling’s Norfolk WEEE waste facility since 2010. Our certificates can be found on our compliance page.

Wiser Environment has extensive experience in the development and implementation of quality, environmental, energy, health & safety and integrated management systems to the international standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, OHSAS 18001 and PAS99.
