Notable Projects
Accelerating Climate Action, Innovation, and Private Sector Development
As part of the Rejuvenating Pasig River for a Livable Manila (REPALM) initiative, Phuong and the team conducted a site-based pre-feasibility study for plastic waste management practices of the Pasig River in Metro Manila, the Philippines, focusing on pollution sources, waste management practices, and circular resource recovery opportunities. The work included developing a strategic roadmap, costing framework, and inputs to the feasibility study Term of Reference, while also supporting pilot initiatives and shaping a broader waste circularity strategy across nine Local Government Units in Metro Manila. Findings contributed directly to ADB’s Pasig River Digital Twin and future investment planning.
LTA Consultant for PET Recycling deals in Vietnam
This strategic project supports the development of Vietnam’s circular economy by tackling plastic pollution through PET recycling initiatives. As part of the long-term advisory team, Phuong conducted detailed research into recycled PET (rPET) feedstock availability and the associated machinery systems required for plant design. She also contributed to the assessment of regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with both Vietnam’s environmental, health and safety (EHS) legislation and international food-grade rPET standards. Her work provided critical technical inputs to support sustainable infrastructure development in the region.
Digital Solution for Plastic Waste Pollution
Phuong played an integral role in delivering Seureca’s pilot project to explore digital solutions for plastic waste management in Vietnam. She supported the screening and selection of suitable technologies and developed targeted surveys to guide the piloting process. Her involvement included site visits, client engagement and stakeholder coordination, contributing valuable insights throughout the assessment. Phuong’s dedication and attention to detail were instrumental in shaping the final digital maturity assessment and ensuring successful project outcomes.
