Notable Projects
Master’s Thesis Research
Lucas conducted research for his Master’s thesis in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), exploring the role of smart grids in enabling more sustainable data centres. The project examines how intelligent energy systems can reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency in large-scale digital infrastructure.
Environment Management System (EMS)
During his internship, Lucas worked with Mistral Data to help develop an innovative Environmental Management System (EMS). This project focused on improving environmental performance tracking, supporting more effective sustainability management and decision making.
Undergraduate Thesis
Lucas collaborated with Chester Zoo for his undergraduate thesis, applying quantitative research methods to environmental and conservation-focused research. The project was later nominated for the Royal Geographical Society’s Quantitative Research Methods Prize (2023), recognising the quality and impact of his work.
