Compliance with regulatory and technical requirements support
Hannah has successfully transferred her strong background in construction, excavation and geotechnical analysis into the CQA context. At Ingham Pit, Suffolk, she has been involved in the construction of the basal liner since September 2025, performing Annex 2 tests to ensure compliance with the approved CQA Plan. She also supported the construction of a separation bund at Widdington Pit, Essex between November 2024 and April 2025, carrying out Annex 2 testing and contributing to quality assurance throughout the works. In November 2024, she worked on the sidewall construction at Dimmocks Cote, Ely, undertaking Annex 2 testing to verify material and workmanship standards. More recently, at Elstow North Landfill, Bedford, Hannah supported the capping works in March and April 2025, again carrying out Annex 2 tests to ensure compliance with regulatory and technical requirements.
Land Remediation and Chemical Spill Recovery
Hannah played a key role in organising land remedial works and site investigations following chemical spills. She restored polluted sites to an environmentally safe and beneficial condition. She provided cost-effective remedial strategies to clients, whilst ensuring that the land can be reused or repurposed without risks to human health or the environment. Her list of actions involved site assessment and careful planning of remedial actions to achieve a successful clean up.
Throughout the process, Hannah maintained a strict supervision on project finances and compliance with health and safety documentation. With Hannah’s conscientious planning and guidance, her clients can achieve internal targets on time.
Landfill Gas Management Plan
Hannah is the Senior Consultant in charge of supporting the property manager to compile the Gas Management Plan (GMP) for Crumps Farm Landfill, Essex, a non-hazardous landfill. The southern area of the landfill, which incorporates no gas management infrastructure, allegedly have caused concerns for the neighborhood regarding odour nuisance. The local Environment Agency team have become involved to redress this case.
With the aim of helping operators in specific failure scenarios, Hannah built up a set of a toolkit for effective controls and monitoring of the generated landfill gas from the southern section of the Crumps Farm Landfill. Adding to that, she lays out action plans for abnormal scenarios, along with relevant procedures, timescales for investigation and corrective actions.
